Don’t be too quick to form opinions, but gather more information to come to a decision.

Rewind to May 31st 2010.

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has condemned the use of violence during a deadly raid by Israeli commandos, and called for the blockade of Gaza to be lifted.
At least nine people died on Monday when Israeli forces attacked a humanitarian flotilla on its way to the Palestinian territory.
‘‘The Australian government condemns any use of violence under the sorts of circumstances that we have seen,’’ Mr Rudd told reporters in Canberra today.
‘‘Furthermore, we are deeply concerned about the loss of life which has occurred.’’

The Response.

The raid prompted widespread international reactions, including condemnation from national authorities, supranational bodies and NGOs, as well as demonstrations around the world. The United Nations Security Council condemned “those acts resulting in civilian deaths,” demanded an impartial investigation of the raid, and called for the immediate release of civilians held by Israel. Israel released all passengers of the flotilla by June 6, 2010.

Tonight a documentary aired on ABC’s Foreign Correspondent
“Collision Course”
Reporter: Jane Corbin (BBC Panorama)

Do watch the clip, its about 28 minutes, complete with eye-witness interviews, video footage of the boat on that night, interviews and dialogue from all parties involved.

The documentary made me realign my onions and re-affirm what I believe to be true. After all there is only 1 truth in this world. You might have an opinion, but opinions can be latter realised to be false.

  • Israel and Palestine conflict
  • Turkish and Iserael
  • IDF (Israel Defense Forces)
  • IHH (Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief)
  • Free Gaza Movement (Human rights organisations and activists)
  • Islam

Have you investigated the new evidence and repositioned your view of the truth for this incident?
How has that effected your judgment of the various parties involved?

Or maybe you were once like me, and should get off the fence and start analysing the problems of this world.

“Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age?
Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?”
(see this verse in context)
